Here's a little secret about me that I don't always share. When I decided to transition out of tech and find a new career, one option I explored along the way was to become a ... Sex and Relationship Coach. I even trained for a year in that field! 

But at the end, I recognized that coaching wasn't quite for me. I also recognized something else.

I kept noticing that the challenges that came up for my clients in front of the camera -- body image, insecurities, self-worth, perfectionism -- were the same things that come up for people in intimate situations. The same tools that intimacy coaches use to help people relax and have awkward conversations are the ones that I can adapt and use to help my clients get comfortable on camera, regardless of the type of shoot.

But the Intimacy Coach part of me will always exist. I'm excited to announce that I'm one of the teaching staff at Seggscamp, a virtual "summer camp" focused on intimacy. Along with my friend and photo assistant Crystal Rose Napolitano, herself a fantastic coach, I'll be co-facilitating a workshop on using photography to increase intimacy with your partner ... and with yourself.
