I’ll be in the Bay Area in the early August, and I have openings for a few clients.

Here’s your chance to work with a photographer who understands exactly what you do, and knows how to create the right container for you to express yourself fully.

I hear this all the time from Somatica practitioners …

“It’s usually easy for me to get into my body. But when there’s a camera around, I’m all in my head!”

“I wish I could show my potential clients what I actually do in a session!”

“I need to find the right balance between looking professional and looking ‘sexy’. It’s really hard!”

If that felt familiar, I might be the photographer for YOU

What you can expect in my photo sessions …

  • A supportive, joyful and empowering space for you to express yourself and find that sweet spot between professional and sexy in your photos

  • A Somatica-trained practitioner to assist me as an Intimacy Director in creating our container

  • A container that’s consent-driven, trauma-informed, non-judgmental and shame-free

  • A suite of 30-40 photos that you can use for all of your branding and marketing, that your ideal clients will instantly connect with

A bit about me

Raj Bandyopadhyay

In 2017, my then-wife of 8 years came out as transgender and started the process of female-to-male transition. It compelled me to ask the question, “What do I need to change in my life to feel true to myself?”

For me, a career change from tech to photography was the answer. Along the way, I also trained as a sex and relationship coach in Somatica, which helped me connect with my true desire and purpose.

Today, as a personal branding photographer, I help coaches and entrepreneurs convey their full, multifaceted, vibrant stories on camera.

And the amazing Somatica coaches who assist me in my photo shoots …

  • Kelly Johnson

  • Veronica Funess

  • Crystal Rose Napolitano

  • Emma Colangelo

My team and I combine skills in Somatica, intimacy direction, acting and even BDSM negotiation. Our goal is to create a space for you to get in your body and show yourself out on camera. We are focused on creating joy and power for you in a container that is consent-driven, trauma-informed and shame-free.

Case Study: Sky Kinsman

Sky Kinsman is an intimacy coach in Oakland. She wanted photos that showed how she worked with individuals as well as clients. Since we didn’t actually have a client available, we decided to get my intimacy director Crystal and Sky’s husband Kody to play her clients.

With Crystal, we captured a mini session. She brought an actual challenge she was working on, while Sky talked her through it and held her. With Kody, Sky got to play the Animal Game, and teach him how to push a partner against a wall.

They we decided to have fun with a ‘couples session’. Crystal and Kody played a couple who are fighting and have come to Sky for help. We then moved to capturing Sky’s comfort with teaching basic kink exploration to her clients.

Finally, at Sky’s request, we captured some personal shots of her and Kody and their incredible connection.

Throughout this 4-hour shoot, we made sure everyone was comfortable with everything that was being proposed, and helped Sky and Kody find the right emotional states to express on camera. Having Crystal to assist in holding the space meant that I could focus completely on capturing some stunning photos!

Case Study: Jackie Jackson Daley

Jackie Jackson Daley is a sex and relationship coach in Alameda, CA. She wanted to update her photos, but she was a bit nervous about stepping into her edgy sides. She didn’t want to scare any potential clients away by coming across as ‘too weird’. Unfortunately, this was also causing her to get into her head.

Jackie was also worried about how she’d be perceived because of her age and body. She said, “There are not many models of women who are in their fifties and curvy also being sexy. I’m anxious about how others will see me, but I’m also wondering if I’ll be able to look at these photos!”

My intimacy director Kelly and I helped Jackie get into her body through Somatica exercises. We created a space for her where she could play with different sides of herself and show herself out, including pushing herself into her edgy spaces. The result? An incredibly fun session with some gorgeous pictures to show for it!

What I believe …

  1. Being true to yourself is better for your photos, your audience and your life

  2. Vulnerability is the key to genuine connection with your audience

  3. Everyone deserves to see their story through gorgeous photography, regardless of age, gender expression or body type

Curious how you can create this same magic for yourself?
